Our story:
M3 Cosmetic Labs South Africa (Pty) Ltd.

The black hair care industry is rich with stories of pioneers and trailblazers. How can it not be with historical icons like Madam C.J. Walker defining it so many years ago? Between the three of us – Marty, Mary Harris and Mary Lee – there's more than 40 years of experience in this business – it has been our life and our livelihood for as far back as we can remember.

With this as our back-story, we embarked on M3 Cosmetic Labs with high expectations for ourselves and our products. Our first brand, NexSheen Arganics™ is built on what we call a "Magic Marriage of Oils" – a lightweight blend of Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Moroccan Argan Oil. We love the blend of these two exotic oils because it's superior to either oil alone when it comes to repairing damaged hair, improving moisture and restoring shine and luster. It's this kind of creativity we want to bring to the market, so we can help women solve some of their toughest hair health issues.

Since debuting NexSheen Arganics™ in the summer of 2010, we've continued to see excitement build around our line. We're reaching out to customers the old-fashioned way – talking and sharing. We want you and all of your friends to try the products and see the NexSheen Arganics™ results for yourself. If you like what you see, tell your friends!

NexSheen Arganics™ is all about building a line of products that make a difference to you – so we want to hear what you think – reach us online or at our offices in Johannesburg, South Africa. Here's to the hair of your life!

"I have always been inspired to bring beauty and science together solely for the hair care needs of people of color. From my early years I remember how difficult it was to have a product assortment that was designed for my kinky hair as well as that of my people. Even though I could afford to visit the beauty salon I always choose to do my own hair simply because I did not want a harsh build up of products that only gave me a temporary fix. I wanted to control the after effect of my hair's feel, look and health. Therefore I had to brew up different concoctions to get the look and feel I desired; I tested my home remedies on everyone I came in contact with; my children, family members and friends until I found the right balance and ingredients and fragrance that worked in harmony for our hair texture. I'm a firm believer that you should not put a product on the market unless you know without a doubt and can stand behind it with a 100% guarantee that it does exactly what you say it will do... I feel that my hair is my glory, it empowers me and give me the self confidence I command as a business woman."
Marty H. Joshua, CEO

"With mom and auntie being in the hair care industry for over 30 years and me growing up in the industry, starting our own brand seemed like the next logical step. Building a brand that empowers women, men, and children around the world has always been a dream of mine. Being able to go on this journey with my two favorite people in the world is something that we will all cherish forever. The late nights at the office, the brainstorming sessions, and the occasional disagreement have, at times, been challenging, but at the end of the day— it's all more than worth it! I'm so grateful for this experience and opportunity!
...Dreams really do come true!"
Mary Lee Joshua, Director of Marketing

"Coming from the US side I've seen it happen all too many times where the money doesn't get re-circulated into the black communities. My staff is 100% black South African so I'm guaranteed that the money is going to get re-circulated into the black community."
Mary L. Harris, Managing Director
